Child is born says cannot not on the card but it has an errata, is it tossed?
-
I think A Child Is Born gets a pass because it does not exactly say "cannot be negated" on the card itself.
-
Great question. Can an elder confirm? I would assume it can be tossed since an errata changes the wording on the SA.
-
As far as I know, the very few abilities that interact with cards based on specific SA language require the specific language on the card and therefore don't look at the errata's text.

Errata changes the text on the card AFAIK so cards like TSA and Coliseum should "look at" errata because that's actually the only thing there.
-
It would not make sense for a card to ignore the errata. If cards don't look at errata then what is the point of their being an errata at all?
-
Back when Fall of Man launched I asked a similar question (http://www.cactusforums.com/ruling-questions/fall-of-man-questions/msg584244/#msg584244) regarding Overtaken and Kings TSA's Play-As
From that thread (emphasis mine):
6. If it's looking at wording on the card, it looks at what is actually printed on the card, or an errata, never Play As.
So yes, based on this, Coliseum would look at ACiB's errata.
-
Correct. Coliseum does toss ACiB (errata), but it does not toss Authority of Christ promo (as that just has a play-as).
