Title: Assyria’s Tribute
Post by: Watchman on August 26, 2018, 01:09:40 PM
It reads “cannot be negated during the battle phase.” If my opponent uses Woes targeting AT during his prep phase, and he then moves to battle phase, AT’s prevent ability on heroes and enhs still works since it’s an on-going prevent which, since it’s the battle phase, cannot be prevented, correct?

“While you’re blocking with an Assyrian, negate special abilities on Enhancements and heroes. Cannot be negated during the battle phase. Limit twice per game.”

That seems right to me.

I agree, although that's super confusing wording.  I guess they were foreseeing ways to block with Assyrians outside the battle phase?   ;)

Maybe it was more for cards that negate arts during the battle phase.

What about the limit modifier. Does this mean it’s used each time it’s active (each of my prep phases) even if I don’t block with an Assyrian?

What I meant was, since it only works during the battle phase (as you can't block with an Assyrian in any other phase), the phrase "...during the battle phase" was irrelevant and could have simply been "Cannot be negated".
