As the title says, I was bored and decided to play around with making a RTS background:

If anyone has suggestions to improve it, feel free to let me know.

Also, its very similar proportions to the original, so it doesn't matter if the other player is using the original background.

Why does the dragon have bat wings on his head / tail? And I didn't know crosses could fly.

Yeah...I'm not crazy about the random wings...otherwise it looks cool.

Go to your RTS folder (probably in C:\Program Files if you followed Lambo's installation instructions).
Open the file backgrnd.bmp (using MSPaint most likely)
Copy the picture from here, and paste it into Paint
Save the file as backgrnd.bmp in the same folder (C:\Program File\RTS)
Next time you open RTS, it should show up as your background

If you do that you won't be able to switch back. :(

There's an easier, less technical way.
1) Save the new background to any location on your computer.
2) Open RTS
3) Go to OPTIONS > BACKGROUND > CUSTOM
4) Browse to your saved "new background" file, select it and click open.

YAY! ;D
