Hey. I use the banner from Redemption So Cal because that's the best looking banner I have. If any of you artistic folks would like to provide me a similar sized graphic (1000 x 50) that says "Redemption Live!" and looks cooler than the Redemption So Cal banner, I'll gladly trade an excellent stack of Redemption Cards for the rights to use your graphic in perpetuity on the Redemption Live! sites to whoever provides me the best banner.

Does it need to be exactly 50px tall, or could it maybe get pushed up to 100?

The larger the graphic is vertically, the more active screen real estate gets taken up by something that has no active use. I'd prefer it not to get too big since I want to leave as much room as possible for card lists and territory layouts while still maintaining a consistent branding. So if it adds to the coolness factor of what you can do, the height can go to 60 or 70 or so, I just don't think I want to go to 100. Also, the horizontal distance of 1000 may not always be visible, so it's a good idea to not have critical visual elements extend all the way to the extreme right edge.

I know this is WAY past, but you wouldn't have to have a 1000 width banner if you are using css. You would just have your normal width, then a 1px wide image using a background repeat-x. Then it would automatically re-size to the screen width.
