Title: What are you top 10 cards from PoC (Phase 1) and PoC (Phase 2)?
Post by: SiLeNcEd_MaTrIx on May 02, 2019, 11:37:22 AM
Just curious to put some information on my website.  I think I accidentally deleted the phase 1 stuff.  What are your top 10 favorite cards from both phases?

I don't think these are in order at all, but ah, well.

From Phase 1:
Exiles LS (Jeremiah 28:6); By far one of the most versatile souls, it's useful in many decks and helps counter Babylonians with the release? Yes, please.
Orphans LS (Jeremiah 22:3); A great double-edged utility that has won me many games and lost me as many. Good to keep souls on the table, but stops you from chump blocking.
Mighty Men: Red Speed without the Throne of David? There's no way I couldn't like this card, especially because of how rare it's been to draw two or less with it in my experience And then there's the banding chains...
King Rezin: Any excuse to play Syrians/Namaan at this point
Accursed of God: I honestly just love the flavor of this card. It's great.

From Phase 2:
Pagan Sailors: I'm glad we get more choose a brigade/nationality. All in all useful and fun.
Sheol: Yes. Just... yes.
Captain of the Host: I have wanted to build a Joshua deck for a while now. This may push that into existence
Elijah: He needed a reprint. Honestly, the only reason he's on this list.
Persian Horsemen/Persian Horses: More toys for Persians, and a cool card to boot. I have no complaints

Picking 10 is tough...

Death of Firstborn - a versatile card that's a "better" Striking Herod for angels.
Elijah - Long overdue reprint with a super solid ability.
Elisha - same as Elijah.
Sheol - one of my favorite cards in play testing and why it got my vote for UR.
Lacking Prophecy - I love flavor of this card and having strong "in set counters" to a sets strong themes.
Necromancer - another card with strong flavor and a unique ability.
The Fallen Star - such a boss! Reminds me of my love for PotW and KoT back when I started playing.
Persian Horsemen - unique and versatile in a theme that needed bolstering.
False Leaders - really enjoyed testing this card.
Treacherous Land - another card I enjoyed testing. It often gets targeted by 3W.
Lost Soul "Remnant" - a really great card that changes games. Also why it got my vote for UR.
The Terrifying Beast - truly terrify and fun to play with.
Eternal Judgment - another flavorful card that's skill intensive and really fun in MP.
Day of the Lord - part 2 of a 3 part series, it has a strong * and a strong SA.
Pagan Sailors - flavorful, fun and fairly unique. Allows for so many cool tricks.
Jonah - go ahead, make my day, search...
The Emmaus Road - this is what the whole set is all about!
Faith - really cool player made card that makes cloud fun a 2nd time around.

Sorry, that's 18 but I didn't want to narrow it down. ::)
