2-liner vs. 3-liner-more data for the debate

It's not really more data for the debate, but a cool ending to a game vs. my son Jonathan that showed both at work:

Jon ahead 3-2. I (finally!) draw SoG to go with my NJ. I had 1/2 rescued his 3-liner, and he had 1/2 rescued my 2-liner. I SoG'ed the other 1/2 of his 3-liner, giving me 4, and then the other 1/2 of his 2-liner, which ended the game as a 5-4 win for me.  If I had also had a 3-liner, it wouldn't have worked. Even Jon liked that ending!

Yeah, nobody ever plays 3-liner in 2-player decks.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I've always only used the 3-liner, including in my Nationals deck, because I'd never found a good deal/trade for the 2-liner, while I had several of the 3-liner.

I just think it is awesome and speaks highly of the game that we are still having topics like this appear about cards released 14 years ago. Think about it, how many other card games have cards that are still game winning cards and staples for any deck, that were released in the first set? None that I know of.......

+1  being a former MTG Player it was very discouraging to see over the years as my collection was reduced to "junk" status as the new sets piled on.  I took a 3 year break from redemption and when I came back all I needed was a few new cards , and a tweak here or there and I was good to go.  cost me very little to get back in the swing.  Props to redemption!

I think my last tourny is a fine example. It was my first game back in 3 years. I have like 2 tins each of RoA and Foof, no TexP, and very few sa lost souls. I may have lost every game, but never by more than 1 ls. I am 3 expansions behind and don't have the $$$$ to catch up quickly. The old cards like the Lost Souls card saved my pride. (not that I won too many games before the 3 sets I am lacking) ;D ??? :'( ;D
