However, if you can get/help with a venue for it I'd be happy to assist with the "hosting" portion. I don't think WI had a State tourney last year so I'd be very interested in making one work this year. :)

Of course! I think the only restriction is that the tournament must be held at a venue within the state's boundaries. Anyone from anywhere can attend. :D

If there's an IL State I'll probably come down to attend. ;)

That would be awesome! All the more motivation for more people to come and try to win.
