Looking to Renew Florida Playgroups & Tournaments

Hello,

My name is Ken Shartle (Fpccottage/Urijah). I have been playing Redemption for many years. It's been a while but I am happy to be rejoining the Redemption community. I have been catching up with the most recent game rulings and sets.

I am interested in getting a playgroup together and resuming tournaments in the central Florida area. I live in Daytona Beach. We have three dedicated players right now and am looking for more.

Ken!! Welcome Back!  ;D

I think I moved down here after you had stopped hosting. I bought a bunch of stuff from you while I was still in Connecticut. Glad to have you back! How are you affiliated with UCF?

I live in Clermont (Four Corners) near the intersection of 192 and 27. Steven Kivelowicz (sp?) lives in Clermont proper up near Route 50. I started a new playgroup last year in Winter Haven at my new school. My first central Florida group has mostly moved on, but there are a few players still around in the Davenport area. There is also a group down near Ft. Lauderdale, but the rumor mill suggests that one of them may be moving up this way (ssshhhhh! Keep it secret... keep it safe...).

Steven and I have both hosted Florida State and Southeast Regional tournaments in Clermont. I look forward to working with you in the upcoming tournament season.  ;D

Hi YourMathTeacher,

Thank you for your response. UCF is my alma mater. It is good to hear that there are still players in the Sunshine State. I would like to encourage growth in Redemption. It's a great game with an even better message.

Do you know if Josh Kopp still plays?

I look forward to working with you as well. We need to make it happen!

Yes. He is one of the players in Davenport that I had mentioned. He comes over to my house occasionally for Board Game Nights, but I'm sure we could talk him into some Redemption, too.  ;D

Hi Ken, my name is Jonathan. I'm from the Ft. Lauderdale area and will be moving to the Orlando area sometime next month or as late as September. I look forward to meeting you. Our play group down here has been to YourMathTeacher's tournaments in the past and we just went to Steven's State Tournament last month. The biggest tournaments we hosted down south were only Districts. I hope my brother is able to start another group as the two of us became the last two active players in our area. Our former group moved onto bigger and better things in life.

Hi Jonathan,

Nice to meet you. I understand how life can take one away from Redemption. I am very excited to be returning to the game myself. It has been a source of joy for me for many years. A fun game of strategy based on God's word - what's not to love?

I hope to meet you and play with you in the near future.  :)
