I have two major announcements plus a bonus announcement.
Announcement #1
Since the seasonal Storehouse promo has already been released at a previous tournament, it will be legal for tournament play at the T2 Only. 8)
Announcement #2
In an attempt to improve the tournament play experience when it comes to Type 2, Rob has given us permission to try a modified timing structure for both Multi and 2P. Here is how each will work:
2-Player – rounds will be ~90 minutes. At the 75 minute mark, the judge will give a 15 minute warning. Each player is guaranteed one final turn after the current round completes. If that “final” round completes before the 80 minute mark, an additional round may be played, but no additional rounds may be started after the 80 minute mark.
Multi-player – rounds will be ~105 minutes. At the 80 minute mark, the judge will give a preliminary “last round” call and one additional round will be played after the current round completes. If the additional round completes before the 90 minute mark (due to a stalled game state such as lack of available Lost Souls), an extra round may be added at the judge’s discretion.
John will be judging Multi on Friday night and Gabe & Bill will be judging on Saturday to help ensure this time structure is followed. The goals are to decrease timed-out games (especially in 2P--Multi just depends on how the game goes) as well as give players more of an idea how many turns they potentially have left (with the important thing being that everyone knows if it will be their final turn before they start that turn). Depending on how things work out, we may incorporate some of the changes for the major tournament season including Nationals.
Bonus Announcement
This guy will not be legal at the T2 Only unless your name is Gabe and you're using a playtest deck... ::)

I like the time management ideas being tested and reeaaalllllyyyyy like The Defender of the Saints. :laugh:
