Your closest play group would be in Orlando. The head of that group is Your Math Teacher on the forum here.

I no longer host tournaments. Hudson is 2 hours away, so I would not likely be able to make the trip for a game night. Sorry.

Look me up if you are ever in the Orlando area. We still play Redemption, I just cannot afford tournaments any more.

Hello Everyone,

Are there any other people who play around the Tampa / St Petersburg area?

Thanks

Hello Everyone,

Thanks

I may be able to start hosting again. There is a Family Christian Bookstore in Lakeland, just off I-4 and Route 98 (across the street from Chuck E. Cheese) that has given me permission to hold Redemption Tournaments there. Would you be able to make that trip if I scheduled  one there?

I'm super glad to hear that.  Isn't Lakeland about a 45 min drive for you though?

I may be able to start hosting again also, and am looking into potential locations in the Central Florida area.  I will let you know when I find out more.

I used to host in New Jersey, but that was a few years ago.

Lakeland is 30 minutes. I can get to Tampa in 45 minutes from where I live, since I am on Route 27.

I can make pretty much any trip. I am faily new to this game and still learning but hopefully I can bring this game to kids in my church that play other similar games and get them away from them.

Maybe we can set up a time for me to demo the game at your church. If you can discuss the idea with the pastor and/or youth pastor, we can arrange a "game night" where I can teach the game and hand out starter decks (homemade ones, not the packaged ones). For tournaments, if you can make it to that Family Christian Store, that would be best, since I cannot afford to keep supplies on hand. The store should be less than half an hour for you, depending on where in Tampa you are located.

I will talk to my pastor about the demo which sounds great. I have been buying up cards here and there and Family Christian is less than 15 minutes from my house.

This has been my experience.  Years ago, the students at my Christian school played Yu-Gi-Oh a lot.  I decided to support an alternative, and thus started playing Redemption with students who were interested.  Now Yu-Gi-Oh has almost disappeared, and our playgroup has become really strong in redemption.  I hope that your experience will be similar.
