I believe New York (Skittens' group) and Texas were the future talk of last year, and NY is gone, so perhaps TX?

Florida or Wisconsin could make a bid.

Knoxville, I hope. I wanna go again.
Kentucky would be the only other option close to TN, but that probably won't be for a couple years.

Why is NY gone? From what I heard it's still being put on the table. I could definitely see Wisconsin coming pretty soon.

I think he assumed that Western NY (Rochester) was the only bid.

Rochester was the only NY bid anyone was seriously talking about last year, when Randall was a major force. I'm in favor of anything in New York, so I don't have to drive far. I feel like we should shoot for attendance rather than "fairness" this year, with the late release of the set, so going MN again so soon might not be a bad call.

New Orleans..... that way if the game is no going so good for me, I can cause a timely power outage to change the momentum...  ;)

My 2 guesses (and these are totally guesses, no spoilers here) are still NE (MD, NY, PA, MA in that order) or TX (more likely in 2014 I think).

Kentucky would be the only other option close to TN
I appreciate the shout out, but I don't have any current plans to apply for Nats 2013.

If Dayne could pull it off, I'd get behind MD. The issue is I'm not sure how big the local fanbase is, and like Chris said, attendance is a big issue.

I'm convinced MD would pull in good numbers. It's within 12 hours of most of the major playgroups on this side of the country (and possibly all of them, other than FL), and we would have some Creation momentum still.

That's the problem with living on a peninsula.   ;)

The only playgroup near us meets on an oil rig in the Gulf.   :o

And, like so many other playgroups recently, that one went up in flames.

*cringes* No. I don't think we could host a nationals. As far as I know, none of us have the ability to foot the bill. Dayne, obviously, would have more to say than I can, but MD really isn't on the radar as far as I'm aware.

I would be most happy if it is hosted in the area in or around MN.

At one point I had considered working toward Nationals, but then our group kind of fell apart last year... Definitely not going to be in WI this year!

Actually, it would most likely be between those two options, in North Liberty (just north of Iowa City). That's where Gabe hosts his tournies, and if it were in Iowa, I'm fairly certain Gabe would be the host.
Press 1 for more options.
