2nd Annual - Mega Booster Draft - big prizes
« on: April 29, 2018, 10:26:39 PM »
+1
this is a closed local, by invite only since there are only 10 spots being offered.  That being said, if you are interested in this event, please let me know, and you can potentially get one of these 10 spots.

This is Mega Booster Draft - which means - we will be drafting the following:
Limited
Unlimited
Prophets
Womens
Warriors
Apostles
Patriarchs
Kings
Angel Wars
Priests
TexP
Disciples
The Early Church
The Persecuted Church
Cloud of Witnesses
Revelation of John

Yes we are drafting with all the packs mentioned above including Womens and Warriors. This is a 16 booster pack MEGA DRAFT.

The tournament is on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 2 pm - 7 pm at Windu's comics and collectibles located at 194 US-27, Suite A, Clermont, FL 34711.

The entry fee is $55 at the door, or you can pre-pay in advance via PayPal for $45.  Make sure you pre-pay by Thursday May 17, 2018, or you can pay at the door on Saturday.

Many have said that is a lot of money just to be able to play in a tournament where I get to draft with all the packs mentioned above including all of the out of print packs for a local tournament. where I will get a local promo (or seasonal promo), and first place is 2 Revelation of John packs, and a Winners promo, and second place is 1 Revelation of John pack, but ...

this is where the deal gets sweeter in addition to the above mentioned prizes, I am additionally offering:

To the first place winner: box of the new Fall of Man boosters, (or $100 store credit at my stiore)

To the second place winner: complete common set of Fall of Man (or $50 store credit)

To the third place winner: $25 store credit

If you are interested in this event this year the space is limited to ten spots.  Five people have already pre-paid, which leaves five spots available at the door.

Please let me know if you have any questions

Just out of curiosity, why 10 people? Wouldn't it be better to have 8, 9, or 12 for even tables of 3 or 4?

Probably because Warrior packs are hard to come by and with prizes like that why not have as many as you can.

All you need is an even number so that you can play 1 vs 1 with no byes.  Sooooo much better than the multiplayer experience...  From both a drafting and a gaming perspective.

Plus you play more games because they go 45 minutes instead of whatever the time limit is for multiplayer.

So this is *not* actually booster, but a new format?  How are you drafting--everyone at the same table or 1v1?

You still draft at a table of 3 or 4, but then the tournament is a 2P tournament.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

And to expand on what The Guardian said, drafting is different because of how players draft.  Knowing that you will be playing 2-person games, as opposed to 3- or 4-person games, greatly affects how you draft.

This is as we did last year an actual booster draft, and it is multiplayer.  Its a booster draft where we are drafting 15 packs, and it has a ten player limit based upon warrior packs  I was able to procure.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks

We are 26 hours away from the 2nd Annual Mega Draft, we are drafting 16 different boosters this year.  Five spots remain open for people paying at the door.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
