Same, with Nationals being in the same area basically, and the fact that we would only be up there for only one day if we were to travel up to Regionals Friday night...we couldn't leave before 6pm...it is just not cost effective to go up for one day. We do look forward to seeing you all in Boston though...just think of it as having an easier chance of winning Type 2

As I was going through my Redemption collection, I found something of interest that I think I'll use to help us plan for the Regional onslaught. To encourage you to preregister, I'm going to hold a drawing for all the preregistrants who attend the Regional. The prize is...

A factory-sealed Unlimited A/B starter set.

You may not want to rip it open to grab all those Unlimited cards to stuff your decks, but a sealed set is a collector's item that's becoming harder to find. Last time I looked, those who had them were charging $25. So if you want a chance to win this one, send me your registration information by next Wednesday, May 28th. The drawing will be held on Saturday, and you must participate in at least one Regional event to qualify. (If you are only playing on Friday night, you can still qualify, and I'll send you the starter.) Limit one entry per person.

Since I'm no IT genius, I can't make an online registration form, so just copy the block below and paste it in an e-mail, filling in your information, and e-mail it to me at DDiceRC@aol.com. Please fill out separately for each player, but you can put more than one registration in an e-mail.

Also, here's the previous e-mail I sent out to those on the NE list:

While Justin and Robert are the tournament hosts, I have a few updates as the site host for the NE Regional.

1) People have asked about "closing time." Obviously, to some extent that will depend on the number of participants in each event, but I'm guessing we should wrap everything up by 9 PM on Saturday. Possibly earlier, depending on who stays for booster/teams. (And if you don't stay for booster, and by some fluke I win it, there will be NO COMPLAINTS this time that having me as a tournament winner makes a mockery of the game!)

2) I've only had one inquiry about staying at the church. If you want to do this, let me know ASAP.

3) Roy will be bringing Cactus merchandise for sale. If you have anything you want in particular, ask him, not me.

4) I'd like to get a preliminary count for events, so if you even think you might come, please e-mail me at DDiceRC@aol.com and let me know what you plan to play. If you want to play Type 1 multi, which is not currently scheduled, let me know, and we'll see how the schedule works out.

5) I can tell you the members of my church are excited about having you all come to play! My only request will be that we leave the church the way we find it, which I am absolutely sure will be the case from our past tournaments.

Perhaps not this but next Regionals --

I propose Star Wars themed costumes for players to wear at Regionals! The best part would be a huge photo session where Jedis meet and pose with each other.

That, for me, would be CLASSIC!!!!!

Time for our next update...

T1 Multi is official! It looks at this point like we will hold it on Friday night, parallel to Sealed and T2-2. This is not yet "official" official, but that looks like the best slot for most who want to play.

Today is the deadline to preregister and be entered into the drawing for the A/B Starter. (MA, send me a list! That will do for now.) Current preregistration stands at about 30. I've got players from NJ, MA, PA, NY, and CT confirmed. So come on, the rest of you states! Let's go for the biggest regional this year, even if Nats are in our region as well.

Remember, all events except Sealed and Booster are free! That's right, free! You may never get a deal like this again. Thanks to our hosts and our host church, we only have to charge for the events that use cards.

Sweet! I can't wait! I am all for playing this event after Sealed on friday night though, just for a chance at both events, but if not I will be playing type 1 mult!

The Northeast Regional was a blast! And I'm not just saying that because my church hosted it. I will have the results posted here tomorrow (when I bring them home from church). 30+ players showed up-not bad when some are saving for Nats. I already announced that NJ wants to bid for 2014, when the Super Bowl comes to NJ. )And yes, both the Giants and Jets play in NJ.) Hope to see everyone again at Nationals!
