Title: Rubble and dust versus Destruction of Nehushtan?
Post by: AngrierMob on April 29, 2018, 07:38:43 PM
I know that Rubble and dust hasn't come out yet, but I'm sure people have already begun to play with proxis now that the cards have been revealed, and I'm wondering about which is better to fill the limited number of dominant slots in the game. They both can fulfill artifact destruction, however one is broader, but has a target limitations. I understand that it varies per deck type used, however when, in your opinions, should each one be used in T1 format?

Actually, R&D at face value doesn’t really target artifacts. It could target a character that has an artifact activated on it, and thus the artifact would be discarded with it. So if you don’t have a way to get rid of artifacts (i.e, Treasures of War, Paying Taxes, etc), then maybe DoN would be an appropriate dominant. Otherwise, I think R&D is a more versatile dominant.

My standard dom lineup is:

SoG
TSC
Three Woes
Angel of the Lord
Christian Martyr
Falling Away (Either version is acceptable, but I've been leaning towards the Women's version lately even without Liner. No one plays Guardian anymore lol)
Grapes of Wrath (RIP Mayhem 2018)

Woes can take care of artifacts and there other counters to them like Watchman mentioned that don't come at the cost of a battle winning dom like Grapes or FA.
