Blessings, all.

Let us ALL populate Redemption® CCG's Facebook and Twitter with our testimonials.  I am certain that one day, all those who have in one way been 'touched' by this great game that is rightfully God's may proclaim His glory and even invite those who have retired to revisit a game they once played with passion.  Let us build a huge base of Redemption CCG!  Let our target reach the millions in number, for nothing is indeed impossible with Him!

CLICK HERE TO BE PART OF FACEBOOK'S REDEMPTION HISTORY!

God bless us all!

The standard operating procedure seems to be that a lot of people get excited about the IDEA of user-contributed efforts but almost no one engages in them.

See also: the Nexus, Holder's Heroes, the Facebook page, various attempts at photo galleries, tournament calendars, online tournaments, at least three attempts at a wiki, a small handful of newfangled sites and - potentially - Redemption Live.
Redemption needs a street team.  Except on the internet.

I already run one street team....member sign ups? I'd need prizes to give out though for doing missions

I feel your pain. In all seriousness, why is that? What exactly "is wrong with us"? Maybe in answering that we will answer the overarching question of why people don't widely know of the game

I think it falls under the category of "maybe someone else will do it."  There are three types of people that are required for such a community driven thing: Core, Enthusiasts, and Consumers.  Core people work all hours to make it the best it can.  On the forums, Schaef and RayZen (our admins) are the core people.  Enthusiasts are inspired by the core people, and help around, doing what they can.  Our moderation team here would be at the enthusiast level.  They don't do as much/contribute as much as the core team, but they're much more plentiful, and essential to survival.  Finally, consumers.  They benefit the most from the effort, and will contribute, but not to the level of enthusiast.

We lack the top two levels, especially enthusiasts.  Without the extra effort given by enthusiasts, the core people give up, and move on to the next thing.

I've updated the page. I think if I post regularly, maybe I can keep interest up? At some point, we have to hit a tipping point, IE, enough people playing and active that it feeds on itself and goes viral. I mean the whole game community, not my little effort

I know for a fact a lot of it has to do with problems that run to the core of the, well, core. If the people at the top can't be bothered to give us a rules document in years and years, why should we bother with the other stuff?
Where's Chris?  Someone's stolen his screen name.  The PTB have done a lot to overcome that limitation.  We've got the Elder system, and the REG corrections thread.  Could more be done?  Sure!  Would useful advice be a lot more helpful than constant criticism?  Doubly so.

While I don't agree with the manner he wrote that in, he has a point. There are plenty of people in the community with enough free time to handle projects more smoothly than some of the higher ups can. More on topic, why would I reccomend a game to my friend when I can't explain half of the rules to him and the metagame is one strat. Why would said friend want to stay in the game.

The Hero brackets were undeniably determined by factors other than people voting for best hero. Also, a lot of people voted on best hero of all time, rather than best one this season (which is undoubtedly Thad).
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I'm rather glad I didn't face your deck.  It seemed terrifying.  If we ran 1 hour rounds, you probably would have won.

That's about what I have concluded from playing it. That's also why I don't play it anymore. Though, to fair, I will check it into Nationals, for when my Disciples deck loses ;).

The best hero is irrelivant, almost every top deck has disciples.
Almost every deck last year had outpost.
Every top deck two and three years ago had tgt.
Everything I can speak for before that was speed.

Even the top defenses have been just the ones that counter the top offense best or provide more speed.

So, I'm trying to resurrect this and make the FB page relevant.  Maybe you guys can help me out now that it can do pics and vids and you can share stuff to it.

Photo albums would be nice, though in the interim, I can (and have) share the photobucket albums posted by others.

:edit: After a little fancy-pants editing last night, I have determined that there are select cases, particularly on company pages, were the timeline can be an appropriate format for a Facebook page.  Still not looking forward to doing this with my own page.

I was just about to post up on the boards that Redemption needs a group page on Facebook. I'm apart of multiple car groups and we can communicate faster on Facebook than on the forums. I know for the "mature" players that do not have a Facebook account would still use the website to access information, but this would help people ask ruling questions while at a tournament. I would like to become apart of this renewal of the group.

just throwing some thoughts out there.

but theres a lot of content creators and resources for Redemption suchas facebook, redit, youtube, podcasts ect but there so spread out and sometimes hard to find.
I spend several hours every week searching for cards and resources and I'm always finding new stuff hiding deep within the tangle of the web.

if we could construct a list and start networking together to improve resources and content then we could grow the presence of the game.
for example my youtube channel is more aimed at collecting so I could link to and suggest other resources for 'how to play' videos, and where my knowledge may not be as extensive as others I could link to podcasts where they go more indepth with the game. -just thoughts off the top of me head.

With my youtube channel id be interested in sharing and supporting other creators. but part of this would require help from the 'Core' members assisting us on how to accomplish this. suchas how and when we share and link stuff. A well structured plan would be a lot more successful than everyone just giving shoutouts to each other.

just some of my thoughts.

I’m in the process of getting videos made for a YTG YouTube channel that will help newer players with the game, and feature our Contender Decks, and other related videos. 👍
