Title: A Call to Redemption® Tournament Hosting
Post by: MrMiYoda on January 12, 2011, 12:28:09 PM
Dear Redemption Family,

Pardon me as I placed this topic in our most widely-used forum section.

On behalf of all active and inactive tournament hosts of Redemption TCG, I urge each player or even non-player from the age of 15 to start hosting even a small local tournament in your area.  This adds flavor to your gaming as it also gives you a chance to be a part of the Redemption National Rating system (RNRS).

All it takes is three people to make a tournament work.  And if it is a 2-Player game, you can still make it official.

If you are under 18 years of age, you may hold a tournament for as long as there is an adult present, even if that adult is not playing.

I for one, take hosting as a means to spread the Good News.  It's just like organizing a Bible Study, but in game form.

You may be shy or even discouraged, and even worse, afraid that you might make judging mistakes. Trust me, even the best hosts still make mistakes.  Be not afraid to falter at hosting.  That is the only way you mature in the art.

All existing hosts, active or inactive, will surely be ready to help a first-time host, guaranteed.

As for tournament materials such as starters, boosters, and tins, I guarantee you that Redemption retailers and distributors will offer discounts that can make your hosting affordable.

We have begun the tradition to have an annual raffle for first-time hosts for each year/season.  I am sure that the prize remains generous and awesome!

Please consider hosting Redemption tournaments.  The link below points us to the details on how to pay forward in the great and Godly game of Redemption!

Act now!

Peace!

We here in AL may try to do our part.

From AL,

Wish I could. Despite my best efforts, no adult support, no play group and now I work 70-80 hrs a week.
Also, church folks in this area look at Redemption like it's a radioactive diaper.

ReyZen is right, ever since I started hosting tournaments I think over a year ago... redemption has been exploding throughout South Florida. Through the journey, we've impacted two secular hobby shops and many of other people with the Gospel as we enjoy playing some friendly games of Redemption and sometimes during tournaments.

...but I want to start hosting as well.  Not as frequently as you guys, because after all, it is your playgroup, but I do want to learn to host.

Well, young jedi it'll be an honor to take you under our wing. Besides, it's something we all need to get down and do to. By the way it's not ours... it's the Body of Christ's. We're just doing our part for The Kingdom and sowing good seed.  ;)

Well, you know what I mean.  At least you didn't call me a Padawan or Ewok (Although I think Ewok's are awesome).

There needs to be tournaments in Alaska, i never even heard of one happen here. Hawaii too. Im in a christian area, and i feel i can still help the area by doing this. 16 and willing. I am willing to do this so i can make money so i can start my own card game. This i believe will work well. Someone needs to spread this game to Hawaii and Alaska, and i cannot do this alone. My stepmom does not want me playing this because its a card game, when this is for good, not bad. This will create more christians, not destroy them. I want to spread the word for my age group.

Just for future reference posting in threads that are several years old is frowned upon. It's called Necroposting. Usually if it's 2 weeks old or more, leave it alone. The post you made could have been presented as a new thread and that will help it get more traction.
