if I had won a category I would have made this..

Pollice Verso:
May activated on Coliseum.
Characters may be tossed in battle from hand.
Cannot be negated.

Correct, the winner of booster draft, type 1 - 2 player & type 2 - 2 player at nationals get to create a card.  That is where Coliseum, Word of their testimony and Confusion from the cloud of witnesses set came from.

I would try to balance something...

Spoiler (hover to show)

Literally. ;)

This is probably not the card I'd make. I do think something like this has potential!

This card is deceptively broken.  As long as heroes have more strength than toughness, you are guaranteed to win the rescue, unless the opponent uses a special ability to stop you.  It also guarantees that heroes will always get initiative.  Imagine Isaiah   :o

Basically, when ECs block heroes, their abilities will be identical.  So a hero like Joshua (11/9) would be guaranteed to be in a mutual destruction when the ECs block - they'd be 11/9 as well.  And since EEs' numbers wouldn't work either, the only way Josh gets beat (assuming his controller is ok with a mutual destruction, which most would) is by a special ability.  TSA would be unbelievably strong with this active.

Isaiah is special because he can recur a CBN battlewinner from discard each battle.  And since the blocking EC(s) would get adjusted to be 7/8 just like Isaiah, he'd have initiative to play the CBN battlewinner he just recurred.

All those Heroes would win in a mutual, but this guarantees that ECs would be able to at least cause a mutual, instead of those Heroes just walking free. As is right now, Josh + Cap is the strongest rescue in most cases, walking in for free souls without enhancements. Those Heroes might get to rescue once, instead of all game.

Isaiah would be boss with this. I'm fine with that. 8)

I agree that there are some cases where the defender would trade a soul and an EC to discard the rescuing heroes, like Josh/Captain.  But in a race to 5 in which Dominants usually get 3 of the 5, it's almost always worth it to trade heroes for Redeemed Souls.

It literally would remove the ability of a defender to ever be winning by the numbers, or at least control when the defender wants to block high.  That actually matters now more than it has in the past due to the advent of Coliseum.

Isaiah might be the "most special", but any CBN-granting hero would get a massive boost from this artifact - Michael, Stephen, Peter, Thomas, Ezekiel, Judges after exchanging by AWSN, etc.

Lets say AWSN is the only angel in play, and he exchanges with moses. moses is then negating everything, judges enhancements used by him are also cbn, and all enhancements have no numbers, so he wins by mutual destruction every time, and has the option to play a cbn battle winner whenever he wants. that sound about right?

IMO, evil character recursion is really powerful, probably one of the most powerful things you can do! I'll recur my goliath, saphira, foreign wives, etc all day!  But i really like this card! maybe have it remove itself from the game, but other that, i think it's balanced.

As I would agree with EC's being recurred powerful, recurring them more than once would not happen unless this card was brought back from dc pile with say the old Treasures of War or something.  Other than that, it would only happen once.

Our minds are too blown by the fact that he can't be blocked while blocking to talk about anything else!
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Scribe.

Scribe only recurs enhancements, not ECs.

There are a few ways to recur ECs:

Mist
Rebellious Spirit
Worse than the First
Evil Sacrifices
Marketplace
Noah
Eternal Covenant/Shrine to Artemis (only works for DACs)
Doctrine Like Leaven
Anything that recurs an OT Gold GE (only works for Fire Foxes)

I'm saying scribe could get back raising the babylonians, then if he dies in battle, play it, get him back, and perpetual EC recursion.

Honestly, I actually forgot about scribe because I don't play him much anymore with all the new awesome gray cards out there.  But he would be so awesome with RTB's!!!! Stellar! Too keep it from being OP'ing my opponent could use Confusion to name Raising the Babylonians instead of SoG! ;)
