Hey guys! I'm back with some ideas for a new set! I'm calling it "Defined By Faith".  Some of these cards I've created randomly in the past but am tweaking them and customizing them to fit the set.  However, I'm going to post them without all the art first as I would like to finalize them based off of all the comments you make first.  It gets to be too much to create the card and go back and fix! So please feel free to comment as much as you like.  I will create the cards once the comments on a particular card stops. So here is the first bunch:

Tax Collectors  5/5 Grey/Gold EC  8/8 Gold Hero
ID: Roman, X=number of N.T. characters in play, When played choose to be evil or good
SA: If blocking look at the top X cards of deck. You may add one to your hand and shuffle the rest.  If rescuing, reveal the top card of each player's deck. If it is a good card holder may add it to hand. Otherwise underdeck it. Cannot be negated.
Verse: Luke 3:12-13

The Lord's Servant 0/5 Clay Hero TC
ID:Unique
SA: This Hero may not make any rescue attempts. When your clay Hero enters battle, you may shuffle an Evil Character in your territory into deck to search discard pile for a clay enhancement.

Called To Holiness 3/3 TC Clay Enhancement
SA: Place in your territory. Your good 1 Thessalonians cards cannot be negated. If your Thessalonian Hero is discarded during battle, discard this card instead.

Identfier: Unique
SA: If opponent has a dominant in their territory you may search deck for a curse and activate it during this battle phase. Cannot be negated if all your Evil Characters are demons.

Lost Soul (Darkness)
SA: If this Lost Soul is placed in a site protect hands and decks from look and reveal abilities.
Verse: 1 John 2:11

Loving God 3/1 Clay/Teal Enhancement
SA: Interrupt the battle and ignore an evil brigade in battle (or two if used by Mark). Cannot be negated if Mark is in play.
Verse: Mark 12:28-30

Practicing Truth 4/3 TC Clay Enhancement
SA: Place on your Colossae Hero. If an opponent plays an enhancement with "false" or "deceit" in the title, you may discard a good card from hand to redirect that ability on an Evil Character in battle. If rescuing Hero is discarded, remove this card instead.
Verse: Colossians 3:9

Wealth of Ananias 1/1Crimson Evil Enhancement
ID: X=number of Heroes in opponent's territory
SA: Interrupt the battle and draw X (limit 3). Cannot be negated if Ananias is in battle.
Verse: Acts 5:3

Joshua's 30,000 12/12 Red Hero WC
ID: Israelite, Fought in an earthly battle, Army
SA: Search deck or discard pile for a Joshua card and add it to hand. Then set this Hero aside. While set aside discard an opponent's male human Evil Character from territory. If opponent's O.T. Evil Character wins a battle remove this Hero from the game. Protect Joshua from opponents.
Verse: Joshua 8:3-4

Joshua's 3,000 10/10 WC Red Hero
ID: Israelite, Fought in an earthly battle, Army
SA: If this character is defeated by a warrior class Evil Character remove this Hero from the game to search deck for Joshua's 30,000 and begin a new battle. Cannot be prevented.

I really like these cards! nice job! here's my feedback:

tax collectors- Personally, i would never play him as a hero. why have the opponent chose what cards you get when you could? unless i needed a hero right then and there, i would always make it an evil character. i also don't really like that it's clay, when it's a Luke character. clay is supposed to be for all heroes after pentecost.

Lost soul (Darkness)- Love it!

Joshuah's 30,000/3,000- i would make them both red and have the army identifier.

Favorite card is definitely that lost soul! :thumbup:

The demon will only activate if glory of the Lord is in play. Might want to make it play or land of redemption.

Doubt and Holy Spirit would activate it too.

Thanks! I made tax collectors both due to the reference. They were baptized and converted. Maybe I can make the hero ability something with giving back to the opponent something.
I will also change the brigades on this one and the Joshua cards. Didn't even think red....lol! That makes sense.

I think this is too strong. "Look and choose 3" is stronger than a D3, and it's multibrigade and CBN.  This card would be easily splashed into any deck with an NT offense or NT defense.

Lost Soul (Darkness)

SA: When drawn set this Lost Soul aside for X turns.
Verse: 1 John 2:11

Soul drought is probably the worst thing about Redemption, and this LS would probably become a staple.  It can also be abused with shuffle EEs like DoU/SSS, which need more counters IMO.  I like the idea of a "Darkness" LS though.  There's gotta be a nice ability to pair with that name.

ID: Based on Prophecy
SA: Place on your Prophet. Each time that prophet enters battle reveal the top three cards of opponent's deck. Underdeck revealed evil cards, place Lost Souls in territory, and topdeck good cards. Cannot be negated.

Sins of The Kingdom 3/3 Brown/Gray Evil Enhancement
ID: Depicts an idol
SA: Interrupt the battle and negate a good card in battle.  If it was a Hero you may search deck for an evil character or an evil enhancement.

Ephraim MC Evil Character 8/5
SA: Discard a Covenant and search deck or discard pile for a card depicting an idol. If it was an artifact you may activate it on this character immediately.  Cannot be prevented.

Here's the first set of created cards:












I modified Joshua's 30000. The original ability and verse didn't fit on the card.  I shortened the ability to get the verse on the card.  Ability should still work the way it's intended.

I'm not getting a dominant with Sinai I'm revealing one in my hand to get my art.....if i don't have the dom.....i can't get the art. And it triggers when it's placed in the territory. The only way it would trigger more than once is if I have Shrine to Artemis to abuse it....;)

Ability modified. I made it so that it may only search for Tables of The Law. I think it actually makes more sense as it would be the only artifact that Sinai was known for; search dc pile for it makes sense as Moses smashed the first one and received a new one from God later on.

one thing you should be aware of (because i don't know if you meant to do this or not) is that Ephraim can get back a card depicting an idol every turn whether or not a covenant was discarded. If that was the idea, ok, but if you wanted it to be a "discard X to do y" make sure it specifically says that.

I'm not getting a dominant with Sinai I'm revealing one in my hand to get my art.....if i don't have the dom.....i can't get the art. And it triggers when it's placed in the territory. The only way it would trigger more than once is if I have Shrine to Artemis to abuse it....;)

Ooooooh... when placed i territory! still too op imo! There are a lot of cards that can get it back after it is shuffled, I'm specifically thinking of the murdering pharaoh, but there are many others too.

Sins of the kingdom can be shorten to "negate a good card in battle".
I believe negate implies interrupt so you don't need the extra language.

I like prophetic gifts. Doesn't hurt people who use demons lol.

Indictment is pretty good against evil cards that draw. I would like to see some numbers on it so it can be useful for coliseum but that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the comments. At the start of this thread I mentioned to make comments before I actually created the card as the card will portray the fixes based on community comments.  It's tedious to go back and recreate the card based on fixes and then put it on imgur again and then repost....but I can do it for his post. Green already has several Heroes that negate ECs so I think Amos is a little underwhelming. I think he could have a bit more creative of an ability.

There isn't really a need to make the Judges set up faster. Perhaps he could be something like "Search deck or discard for a card with Samson in the title." There aren't a ton of evil ignore abilities so that second ability isn't going to do much.

I like the concept but the "every other turn" could be difficult to track and could cause confusion if the EC is sent to hand/deck and resets. Perhaps it could be "If a Disciple is in play, set this demon aside after battle for two turns."

I like this one, but Teal already has multiple ways to get rid of Fortresses--it's tempting to make it something like Witnesses to Creation (7 turn set aside with great benefit) but I'm not sure.

Here are the created cards for the prior card ideas:







On a couple of the cards I shortened the ability and the verse to fit.  Also, the artist is unknown for the last card and the card before it....the same.  I forgot to take off "Mah Designs" on Scarlet Line and forgot to put in Artist Unknown for the last one.  Also changed the brigade from multi color to Orange on Bound Demon since he is a demon.  Not sure why I had MC before. Sorry. But every thing else should be good. Thanks for all the comments! The next several are on the way!

I know animals can't be heros, however, Donkey brought our Saviour to Jerusalem to bring the Word. This is why I made the donkey a hero. It also reads that "No rescue attempt may be made by this character."
