Does a non-symetrical game appeal to you?

pilgrim14:
I am making a sci-fi card game and was wondering if a asymmetrical game, if balanced correctly, would appeal to anyone?

LukeChips:
That's how star wars lcg is, one peson plays the light side and one side plays the dark side. I didn't like it that way because you had to make two different decks.

pilgrim14:
I meant more along the line of Netrunner, where the two sides have completely different mechanics and play styles.

EmJayBee83:
Given the popularity of Netrunner, I would say that a asymmetrical game can work very well. The only real issue with the asymmetry lies in organized (i.e., tournament) play, where it can be difficult to come up with a balanced match system.

Star wars LCG and NR are almost the same.
