The star ability on a card is optional and can be carried out any time you draw a card (with a star ability on it) by game rule. There are two times that happens, your draw 8 at the start of the game and your draw 3 at the start of each turn. If you choose to use the star ability, you reveal the card and perform the action after the star.

Not just that, but imagine Jonah in teams, where the team only needs 2 total Assyrians to activate each other's Jonahs.

I don't think this is technically a new preview, but it is the first time you've seen it in this form:

Moses hasn't changed much since he was one of the very first previews in August, but we buffed his stats up 10/10 and changed his banding to just humans. (He was awesome with The Destroyer)

Moses can't even play his own Faith.

Though I guess since he doesn't get initiative anyway it doesn't matter much if you band to a white hero like Hur.

Has Aaron received a similar human restriction?

Unless we find an error that needs fixed we’re past the point of changing cards now. This was changed to make him more splashable at the communities request.

We changed one of the earliest preview cards to make it a lot more useful to buff a whole theme rather than locking it into only benefiting one Hero.

I believe Patriarchs are Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the sons of Jacob (which aren't all in the game yet...)

Some of the older sons of Jacob have the identifier on the card, but later ones haven't because this is the first time it's actually been used. Happy to see there's finally some synergy!

Curious question: when phase 2 is released will it just pick up number wise where phase 1 leaves off?

Several of the cards spoiled already have numbers, which go into the 200s. So that would tell me that they are going to "fill in the holes" in the next set.
